Participation in Clinical Trials

A clinical research trial is an investigational process in which new treatments and therapies are compared to current methods of treatment. It is a research study in human volunteers to answer specific health questions. Carefully conducted clinical trials are the fastest and safest way to find treatments that work in people and ways to improve health. Without clinical research, advancements in medicine would not be possible.

Benefits of participation in a clinical research trial:
  • Obtain expert medical care at leading health facilities during the trial at no cost to you.
  • Play an active role in your own health care.
  • Gain access to new research treatments before they are widely available to the public.
  • Help others by contributing to the advancement of medical research.
  • Receive close follow-up care of your condition.
  • You may also be compensated for lending us your valuable time.
